Here are several pictures of my cat.

Ok, I have pictures of two kitties i've had. First is Frances, my current cat. She lives with my dad while I'm at the south pole. She likes to sleep, like most cats. She makes a lot of noise--lots of little grunts and squeaks and things. She won't eat people food and doesn't scratch the furniture. She killed a mouse last year--I didn't even know I had mice in the apartment!

Is she cute or WHAT???

She was born in May, 1992, so she is approaching the older cat designtaion. In fact, she has started making those funny groaning noises older cats make. Trying to pretend she doesn't want to be petted. Thinks she can fool us. Hah!

Unfortunately, she's a total xenophobic. When she hears the doorbell ring, she runs to the bedroom and scurries under the bed. She used to leap up onto the 7-feet-up molding that runs around the bedroom (this was the dining room originally, and the molding was for displaying a fancy plate collection. Or something). No, she didn't leap from the floor--you'd have seen us on David Letterman if she could leap seven feet!!! (She leapt from a desk.) Of course, in typical cat fashion, she would then think she couldn't get down (this is only after the scary-monster-stranger has left, obviously), so she'd whine and meow and eventually leap down.
